Andreia Simon is a Senior Director with the Center for the Collaborative Classroom, a non-profit organization dedicated to literacy and social skills development. Over her 20 years in education, she has served as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, district literacy leader, and instructional coach. Before joining Collaborative Classroom, she served as Senior Literacy Consultant and READ Act Field Support Manager at the Colorado Department of Education. In this role, she led professional learning for educators in the Science of Reading and supported district leadership in implementation of the Colorado READ Act, seminal legislation designed to ensure that all students receive equitable access to scientifically and evidence-based reading instruction. Andreia now resides in Santa Fe with her husband and two dogs, Sadie and Bear.
